SITOUGHTRY  the floating roof structure

The brief was to create an out door space for entertaining to the rear of the property.  The out door space, was to provide a sheltered location, that could be used in all weather conditions.  The structure was made from recycled timber posts, left over concrete blocks, steel re-bar, recycled roof batons and scratched red perspex sheets.  The structure was pinned and fixed together using only drilled holes and re-bar sections.  The structure sat on 10mm re-bar sections creating the illusion of floating in mid air.

The clients wanted the space, when not in use, to be a place that would attract birds.  Bird feeders were attached to the timber batons with brass hooks.
